Design Concept

The INTERSTELLAR SERIES is inspired by Christopher Nolan's classic sci-fi film "Interstellar." Re-exploring the connection between space, the universe, black holes, and time, it breaks away from the ordinary circular watch designs that dictate the logic of time. It features a new, uniquely designed irregular oblique oval shape to express the mystery and charm of the universe. This series includes four models: "Speed of Light," "Big Bang," "Black Hole," and "Golden Planet."

"Time is relative. It’s relative to where you are, what you do, and who you are waiting for." —Interstellar 2014. In the universe, time has always been a special presence, felt but difficult to explain. A circular representation of time appears perfect but is quite unnatural. In the dimensions of the universe, varying ellipses are the norm, evident in the trajectories of celestial bodies, the effects of gravity, and the distorted lines of space-time. Therefore, we reincorporated this "distortion" into the human-made device for presenting time, and thus the Interstellar Series was born.

To achieve the oblique oval shape, we rearranged the internal structure, rotating the movement, adjusting the strap connection points, and designing a special case back. The entire watch is designed with curves and mirror polishing to evoke the texture of an alien spaceship. The design techniques for each model in this series are: 1. Speed of Light: We reconfigured the 12 o'clock markers with varying lengths to express the sense of speed of light. 2. Black Hole: Through PVD black plating and concentric circle patterns, it depicts the mysterious solemnity of a black hole. 3. Big Bang: Metal inserts erupt to indicate the 12 o'clock direction, paired with sword-shaped hands all rendered in a mirror finish. 4. Golden Planet: The entire watch is presented in light champagne gold, paired with metal inserts depicting elliptical Earth latitudes and longitudes, showcasing the beauty and grandeur of a golden planet.
