DALI SERIES

Salvador Dalí was an artist of immense creativity, recognized alongside Picasso and Matisse as one of the most iconic painters of the 20th century. Beyond his profound creativity, Dalí was also an artist of exceptional versatility, his rich talent manifesting across various artistic endeavors. He masterfully integrated his personality, life philosophy, and artistic creations, showcased in fields such as painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, screenwriting, and directing.

In Dalí's works, we often see him portraying his inner world or dreamscapes through collage, dissection, intertwining, and fusion. Dalí expressed his surreal world through his paintings, and his creations truly make viewers feel the boundless possibilities of art.

DALI WATCHES Design Concept

After admiring Dali's world, one is always amazed by the artist's greatness and creativity. Among his many paintings, "soft clocks" are what fascinate me the most. They take the clock, a symbol of time, and express humanity's disappointment and fear of the passage of time by transforming it from hard to soft. For this collaboration, I chose "Searching for the Fourth Dimension," a painting that also features the soft clock element, as the main image. The golden, gigantic, floating clock and the deformed hands perfectly convey this concept.

DALI WATCHES Design Concept

In designing the DALI WATCHES, we decided to use the brand's classic "Fusion Series." By transforming the case shape, we resonate with Dali's multifaceted nature, printing his artwork onto the dial with ultra-high resolution, and incorporating deformed metallic Roman numeral hour markers. Finally, strong, powerful mustache-shaped hands symbolize Dali. The overall color scheme of gold, green, and gray expresses Dali's mysterious, dreamlike artistic conception, aiming to bring Dali's spirit to its fullest expression.
