About the virtual world of Sword Art Online

Yuniviers Hsieh has launched its first collaborative watch with the famous Japanese novel and anime series "Sword Art Online." Written by Japanese author Reki Kawahara, Sword Art Online caused a massive sensation worldwide upon its release. The story is set in 2022, a time when VR virtual reality devices are creating a new trend. The protagonists find themselves trapped in a virtual world called "Aincrad" and must complete the game to escape. We have now finally reached 2022, the starting point of the story's setting. This enduring 10-year classic anime masterpiece is being revived, with a new theatrical film returning to the very beginning of the series, ready to create new excitement!

SAO SERIES INSPIRATION CONCEPT

Hello everyone, I'm Yuni. This collaboration with "Sword Art Online" is truly exciting. As an anime fan, I couldn't miss it. The virtual world in SAO and the emotions between Kirito and Asuna give off a strong metaverse vibe while also being very sincere. So, I wanted to design a watch that incorporates their couple's style with the sci-fi game elements of SAO.

SAO SERIES Design Concept

After much thought, I decided to start with the weapons. In games, weapons are always something to aspire to and look forward to. Kirito's dual blades, "Elucidator" and "Dark Repulser," are transformed into the "hour hand" and "minute hand," respectively, while Asuna's rapier, "Lambent Light," serves as the fast "second hand." These three swords act as the conceptual pointers, combined with the "Black Swordsman's" black dial, and the "Knights of the Blood Oath's" white and red numeric markers. Metal-cut emblems representing the two characters are placed at the top and bottom, symbolizing the 1-100 floors of Aincrad. Finally, the back of the watch case is engraved with "Aincrad," the floating castle where their story began. I hope that through the combination of these elements, I can create the most beloved "Sword Art Online Collaboration Watch"!
