Space telescopes unveil the secrets of galaxy, star, and planet formation; through every focus and capture, scientists are able to observe the formation of early galaxies, tracing back the origins of the Milky Way and even the universe itself. Designers have used this as a concept, integrating it into timepieces that function as time machines, capturing the allure of space telescopes. Marking a major milestone in human space exploration, their innovative and cutting-edge technology allows us a deeper understanding of the universe in which we live.

Eyes of Space Series: Watch Details

To capture the aesthetics and symbolism of space telescopes, designers drew inspiration from the two most iconic telescopes: the Hubble Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope. For the Hubble model, the design centers on its "silvery metallic body" and "cold, space-capsule-like texture." By extending visual elements from its cylindrical main body, aperture cover, and large circular mirror structure, "circles" became the primary design language. From the dial and hands to the intricate decorations, the watch exudes a strong mechanical and industrial tech aesthetic, symbolizing the great milestones of human cosmic observation over the past thirty years. For the Webb model, the designer drew inspiration from its iconic "18 hexagonal golden primary mirrors," arranged like a honeycomb. Combining a gold color scheme with a futuristic folding structure, "hexagons" serve as the central design motif, integrated into details such as the watch case and minute hand. This showcases an ultimate sci-fi style, symbolizing the new generation’s exploration and imagination of the deep cosmos.
