Design Concept

Taiwanese designer brand yunivers hsieh is launching its first collaboration with the famous card anime "Yu-Gi-Oh!". The collaboration features 12 commemorative products, including "Monster Embossed Mechanical Watches," "Dark Yugi / Seto Kaiba Sunglasses," and "Yu-Gi-Oh! Scarf Tapestries." These items perfectly combine classic Yu-Gi-Oh! monster elements to create nostalgic accessories. Let's step into ancient Egyptian civilization, explore Dark Yugi's kingly memories, and return to manga artist Kazuki Takahashi's world of games to once again experience the charm of card games he brought us. Are you ready to become a duelist of destiny?

To integrate the aesthetic of Yu-Gi-Oh! card monsters into modern fashion items, the designer approached it from an "artisan" perspective, thinking of the "embossed" card type in the game. This led to discussions with the licensor. We first went through continuous supervision and adjustments using 3D computer simulations, testing casting, polishing, electroplating, and spray painting techniques for the embossed monsters, finally embedding them into the watch dial. Combined with durable materials and precise, reliable movements, five ultimate monster embossed mechanical watches were completed!
