Design Concept

We are all players on Earth, just like astronauts arriving on Earth. The watch depicts an astronaut looking at Earth from space. When illuminated with a UV light, it reveals the virtual code 0, 1. We hope that when collectors look at the watch, they can briefly "log out," reminding themselves not to be too engrossed and to remember to enjoy life as a game.

About the Artist: Li Tsai-ran is a multidimensional astronaut wandering on Earth. His thoughts construct the entire universe; every idea and thought he has causes atomic vibrations, creating our current material world. This means he believes we live in a virtual world and are souls incarnated on Earth for adventure, experience, and creation. With a playful heart, he fully enjoys playing on Earth. Therefore, he created the astronaut in his artwork—an adventurer who can travel through space and time. Besides visiting various places on Earth, he also travels back in time to play with dinosaurs, or checks out what's happening in other parallel universes. He can also create objects out of thin air, conjure his own mythical beasts, or spend time with earth spirits. Through this little astronaut, he hopes to allow viewers to momentarily detach from an overly rigid world, rediscover their free-spirited, courageous souls, and fearlessly enjoy this world.
