Introduction to the artist: Huang Shilun was born in Yilan, Taiwan in 1989. He graduated from the Art Creation Institute of the Department of Art and Design, National Hsinchu University of Education (now National Tsinghua University) in 2014. He currently works and lives in Taipei, Taiwan. The paintings start from personal life experiences and discuss the impact of growth history on the subconscious. The paintings are filled with various spectacles and disaster scenes, describing how the proliferation of simulacra in the contemporary era has become a cheap feeling, full of truth and falsehood. , and has long been concerned about the contradictory relationship between painting reproduction and sketching. Every sketching and reproduction is a copy and inaccuracy. Some are retained and some are discarded. The subject and object of perception are always in a state of eternal expansion and change. , constantly deconstructing his paintings in the process of creation, integrating extreme reality and surreality. The themes are often based on real social events or news, but he uses sweet, magnificent and fantastic expressions to create a world of another dimension.
