Design Concept

Under the starry sky, several meteors streak across, a momentary flash shining as if time stands still. What appears constant is always changing. The unique elliptical design of the Dark Night Starry Sky is not only a symbol of fashion but also a testament to the intertwining of time and dreams. About the Artist: Huang Shih-Lun was born in Yilan, Taiwan, in 1989. In 2014, he graduated from the Institute of Arts and Design, National Hsinchu University of Education (now National Tsing Hua University). He currently lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan. His paintings stem from personal life experiences, exploring the impact of growth history on the subconscious. His works are filled with various spectacular disaster scenes, narrating how the prevalent simulacra of our time have become cheap sensations, brimming with reality and falsehood. He consistently focuses on the contradictory relationship between painting representation and sketching. Each sketch and representation is a replication and an inaccuracy, preserving some elements while discarding others. The perceiving subject and object are always in a state of eternal expansion and renewal, constantly deconstructing his own paintings during the creative process. He blends extreme reality with surrealism, often drawing themes from real social events or news, yet using a sweet, magnificent, and fantastical expressive style to create a world of another dimension.
