In Liu Cixin's "The Three-Body Problem" universe, a chance event opens the door to the cosmos, allowing us to feel the existence beyond humanity. Different species, in different positions, contemplate the same thing: "survival." By understanding the three-body state through different layers across various timelines—a chaotic interplay of gravitational forces—it leads to repeated cultural extinctions. The cosmic scale of time is unimaginable to humans. Through this work and the three-body concept, combined with the medium of time, and incorporating celestial bodies, trajectories, and interwoven elements, the unique appearance of the Three-Body watch is expressed.

The Three-Body Problem Series: Watch Detail Introduction

To represent the space, time, and interweaving of the Three-Body Problem, the designer used a grid pattern as the base to convey the sense of coordinates, making each point exist within a visual space. The central black hairline circle represents a strong gravitational pull, while the hour, minute, and second hands are depicted by three different sizes of circles and dots. Through the continuous intersection, fusion, and division of these three circles, the moments of constant interaction between the three bodies are illustrated. The luminous effect is applied to the three celestial bodies and the time numerals, allowing time to be seen moving even in the dark. Finally, the paths of the three celestial bodies are represented by dashed lines, suggesting a seemingly predictable path that could deviate at any moment, adding an unpredictable element to the mysterious cosmic time. In the end, will it be survival or extinction?
