Designer watch brand yunivers hsieh and Taiwan's largest art matching platform, The Bridge Art, have collaborated to curate a new art watch project. The initiative features internationally renowned artist Attilio and artists from D&A Art Gallery, along with eight selected emerging artists.
Hand-painted by Artists, Stroke by Stroke
Inspired by the concept of Symbiosis, artists create and hand-paint their works directly onto the watch dials. These are then assembled by professional watchmakers, resulting in unique, handmade art watches. This fusion of exquisite artistic creation with watchmaking craftsmanship interprets a distinctive style, transforming watches from mere time-telling accessories into a new medium for art to be practiced and transmitted in daily life.

Conceiving Symbiotic Art from the Artist's Perspective
This theme revolves around the core concept of "Art Symbiosis," literally meaning "living together." It explores the mutually beneficial relationship between two entities, characterized by non-domination and non-exploitation, but rather by the creation of new sparks and forms through their interaction and integration. In the past two years, as the global environment has changed, humanity's understanding and experience of symbiosis seem to have evolved. Through this project, we invite artists to freely deconstruct "symbiosis" – perhaps as the symbiosis between art and nature, or between artists and culture. Through symbiosis, we can perceive and reflect on each other, creating a new balance and a new world of coexistence.

Internationally Renowned Artist: Chien Ming-Cheng
Artist Bio: Former Executive Creative Director at McCann Erickson, with 25 years of experience in advertising. Recipient of awards such as 4A's, Times Chinese Advertising Awards, and亚太特别奖 (Asia Pacific Special Award). At 50, he realized he had abandoned a dream at 17 – to have his own solo art exhibition.
His mother passed away around the age of 51; she had kissed him thousands, tens of thousands of times, expressing a mother's love for her son. Thus, he began painting the "Kiss Series" dedicated to his beloved mother. Attilio Arts became the fertile ground for him to pursue his dream. Everyone can see how each new artwork or idea prompts him to search for ways to avoid "regrets" in his old age. He will share these insights with everyone from time to time.

Creative Concept: Collingwood believed that through works of art, the process of appreciating art allows the audience to clarify their vague emotions. Digging into the endless joy within, let a "kiss" become the release that opens lonely hearts! Kissing refers to the deep passion within, reinterpreted and expressed. The joy of love, like the "butterfly effect" in psychology, drives tiny chain reactions of interaction in human acts of love. A kiss also represents the most intimate act between people. Shakespeare said: A kiss is a seal of love, a happiness, and a promise. Because we are all born "to be loved".....

Artist Introduction: Lin Ying-Chen holds a master's degree from the Graduate Institute of Fine Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts and was awarded first prize at the 2018 Zhongshan Young Artists Award. Lin Ying-Chen excels in using oil and acrylic paints to create a spatial atmosphere of virtual and real correspondence. By incorporating botanical elements into her paintings, she alludes to the resilience and vitality of women. "Time has a corrosive power that spares no one and a will to return all things to the earth. Only the forms and colors that endure these and remain are truly beautiful." - Hiroshi Sugimoto.

Dona Gallery - Artist: Yu Hsing-Shan
Artist Bio: Born in Yilan, lives and works in Taipei. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, National Taiwan University of Arts in 2012 with a master's degree. Since 2014, she has explored the role and meaning of her artworks within sociocultural contexts. She uses color, space, and time as primary elements to investigate contemporary aesthetic standards and the expression of temperament in the realm between semi-figurative and abstract art. The psychedelic and pervasive qualities of oil painting are utilized in her creations, as the fusion of paint mediums gives rise to psychedelic and variant color effects, conveying the bizarre yet beautiful illusions present in modern society.

GESANG FLOWER
Concept: A long time ago, a severe plague broke out in the Tibetan region. People died one after another, and the tribal leader tried every means but couldn't solve the problem. At this time, a living Buddha from a distant land passed by and cured everyone using a local plant. Due to his tireless efforts in healing, the eminent monk fell ill and unfortunately passed away. Because of the language barrier, the Tibetan people's impression of the living Buddha was the word "Gesang" he often uttered – referring to the plant used for healing. Since then, everything beautiful that symbolizes hope and happiness has been called "Gesang." I use this artwork as an analogy for hope and beauty, wishing that these tiny flower seedlings bring a glimmer of happiness.

Artist Bio: Born in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Graduated with a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Department of Calligraphy and Painting Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts. His series of works often draw inspiration from his beloved science fiction and fantasy pieces. After reassembling and transforming these visual experiences, he combines them with his expertise in ink painting, depicting his imagination of the universe through meticulous colored ink techniques. These works portray stories unfolding across different planets, races, and even alternate dimensions, constructing an ever-expanding worldview.

Concept: A wristwatch is a technological device that identifies one's place in time and space. I have combined the concept of multiple dimensions of time and space with the alien creatures in my own artwork to create the "Space-Time Monster" collaboration series. By depicting unknown creatures of varying appearances in different spatial settings, I describe a type of cosmic monster that can wander through different dimensions of time and space, with its form changing in accordance with its surroundings.

Artist: Chen Po-yuan
Artist Introduction: Currently active in various art fairs, museum exhibitions, and curatorial projects, Chen Po-yuan is pursuing a Ph.D. in Calligraphy and Painting Art at National Taiwan University of Arts, researching and pioneering issues related to virtual digitized contemporary ink painting. He has received numerous accolades, including the 2022 Huangxi Award, 2021 Kaohsiung Award Excellence Prize, Emerging Artist Award Jury Prize, and Hongmei New Artist Award. He is also the author of "Bare Trees and Non-Clouds" and "Chennai Journal." Due to his father's work, he lived in India and Thailand for over a decade, and his artistic creations gradually unfolded from this cultural learning experience.

Artist: Huang Yun-Ju
Artist's Bio: Raised in Taipei, she holds a Ph.D. in Chinese Language and Literature from National Taiwan Normal University. She is currently an artist and poet. Her creative inspiration stems from her personal experience with depression. The recurring episodes led her to explore her inner psyche. Through continuously painting portraits and figures of various models, she observed the deep-seated pain and stories within each person. Gradually, she learned to forgive unintentional hurts from others, and to embrace and appreciate her own sensitivity and neuroticism. For her, artistic creation is a vessel that can contain her entire self. In the world of art, everything is beautiful, infinitely vast, without right or wrong, without standards, possessing absolute freedom—this is the freedom she has always pursued.

Concept: This abstract human form symbolizes the primary energy center within humanity – love. The mountain-like posture of the human body represents the accumulation of energy, and the large area of red is a metaphor for "love." Recently, I've come to realize that love is not just about giving; it's more about "receiving with the heart," a state of opening one's mind and truly feeling love, experiencing a deep stirring. It's not a superficial emotion; it's understanding the causes and effects and the contradictions of reality, where everything you once resented transforms into something understandable, affirming that you are indeed loved. May wearing this watch constantly remind us to open our hearts and embrace love. Love is always around us, and always within us. Even in despair and sadness, may we continue to believe in love, trusting that everything will eventually experience rebirth.

Just as time moves forward without turning back, and forests grow without ceasing, so too does human life. This piece serves as a constant reminder to always strive to be a growing sprout at every stage of life, to embrace everything around us and coexist with it, allowing the cycle of goodness to continuously roll forward.

As each dial is hand-painted by the artist, there will be slight variations in each piece. If you seek an identical item, please do not order.
2. [Notes on order and shipping times]
The collaboration watches are crafted by the artist themselves, making each timepiece as rare as a work of art. The assembly and production of the watches are carried out by master assemblers with over thirty years of experience, all to provide the highest quality timepiece. We aim to allow ample time for both the artist and the craftsmen; therefore, the shipping time is "30-40 business days after ordering." If the work is completed earlier, it will be shipped earlier. All pre-order items are limited and will be unavailable once sold out.
3. [Reminder for watch order policy]
All collaboration watches come with a one-year warranty. Laser engraving, customization, and artist pre-order items are non-returnable and non-exchangeable. If the watch has any defects or time inaccuracies, please inquire via Messenger. All watches are water-resistant for daily use; washing hands or light rain is fine, but the leather strap material is not waterproof.
